Your Host
Hofgut Georgenthal bears her mark. As Managing Director, Brita Hankammer strongly influenced the design of the Fireside Lounge, the “Giorgios” restaurant, the Beauty Spa and the convention rooms. It was her idea to build a new golf course, and she drove the project with real zest. Many of the artworks that so define the hotel’s special atmosphere are her own creations. Originally purchased and restored by her father, the inventor of the Brita water filter, in 2007 she took over Hofgut Georgenthal from him and has turned it into one of Germany’s signature hideaways.
