There are many possibilities of spending a nice time together with your family, friends or club members. As we would like to spend some time with you, too, the current Corona situation especially hurts us. It is a very confusing and ever-changing situation. Planning events during this time has become a difficult task. However, we remain confident, but at this point we don’t want to promise anything we can’t keep. Canceled - Glorious Rheingau Days
With the Glorious Days in November, the Rheingau celebrates the vintage – this year, Hofgut Georgenthal is once again part of it. Enjoy a varied flying five-course menu and the presentation of the corresponding wine selection with the VDP Excellencies Andreas and Bernd Spreitzer from the Rheingau winery Josef Spreitzer from Oestrich and the VDP winery Von Winning from Deidesheim/Palatinate.
The Saloon festival
Meriel Schindler presents her work “Café Schindler” at a reading in the Hofgut. The book tells an extraordinary story spanning two centuries, two world wars and a family business. At the centre there is the legendary Café Schindler, which was founded in 1922 after the horrors of the First World War and quickly became the vibrant social centre of Innsbruck – until the Nazis came.

Past events
We have turbulent times behind us. We have planned numerous events in great uncertainty. We had to cancel or postpone some of them, but we could also allow others to take place. With this overview you can get an impression of what you can expect at the Hofgut in “normal” times.
The Saloon festival
Ewald Arenz is one of the best-known and most versatile writers in Middle Franconia – and has reinvented himself when he switched to DuMont-Verlag: His novel “Old varieties” is set in the present and is about an unusual friendship between women. “A masterpiece,” writes Dirk Kruse from the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation. Arenz will talk about it at the Salon Festival in the Hofgut.

Glorious Rheingau Days
The Rheingau celebrates the grape harvest with the Glorious Days in November – and Hofgut Georgenthal also celebrated for the first time in 2021. We presented our guests with the finest wines from the Spreizer winery and the Georg Müller Foundation as well as a delicious 5-course menu from the Hofgut kitchen.
The Salonfestival - cancelled due to Corona
Winter season is time for reading – and autumn is full of new book recommendations. The renowned literary scholar and director of the Hamburg Literaturhaus. Rainer Moritz, brings order to the recommendations at the Saloon Festival and gives book tips for the winter.Pleasure meets Golf
A “Hole in One” for the palatine: Louis Roederer Champagne presents a particularly enjoyable golf event. A tournament over 18 holes, embedded in a culinary experience – before, during and along with coming-in and subsequent evening event, also after the round of golf. Info & registration to follow.
Beach Volleyball Cup Georgenthal
Off to the sand: on August 22nd, 2020 starting at 14:00 h at Hofgut Georgenthal the 1st Beach Volleyball Cup Georgenthal will take place together with Autohaus Karl & Co., Quirin Private bank and the first league team of VC Wiesbaden, a company tournament including warm-up with the professionals, presentation of the team and taster golf on the driving range.

Smart and clever minds as guests at the Hofgut Georgenthal: As a military bishop, Sigurd Rink knows the crisis areas of this world. He regularly stays in Afghanistan, Mali and the Middle East. Are wars just or at least justifiable? Rink deals with this question at the Saloon Festival.Culinary Talk
In 2020 we will carry on with our culinary talks – and at the beginning, a real prestige duel was on the agenda: France vs. Italy. But of course it’s not about football; cheese & wine are the protagonists of the evening and are presented extensively.
