The golf paradise in the Taunus
Welcome to the Hofgut Georgenthal Golf Course. Since the 2016 season, we have been home to one of the country’s most sublime golf courses, and one of the most attractive destinations for golf players.
The golfing paradise in the Taunus hills sets golfers’ hearts racing. The 18 holes stretch like a fan around the estate to form one giant amphitheatre with the hotel at the apex. The special topography makes the course highly interesting and ensures a varied game and a great challenge to master. Yet the course is also ideal for newcomers to the game, and from each set of heights you get a new and thrilling view of the entire area.
The course is laid out like a classic “links”, taking its cue from the original Scottish courses. And the design reflects on three other themes characteristic of the region: the Limes UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the local orchards, and the topic of water.
Alongside the 18-hole course, Hofgut Georgenthal boasts a training centre complete with driving range, a three-hole course, putting greens and even a “Himalayan green” with extremely undulating grass, a golf shop and, it almost goes without saying, a golf school.
